Moving plants after planting

I'm dumb and didn't know that there are vining tomato plants and bush plants, and that bush plants need a lot more space.  I planted bush tomato plants in my square foot garden based on the space needed for vining plants, and needless to say I now realize that they are way too close.

Can I dig them up and plant elsewhere?  It's been about three weeks, and they are transplants I bought at a nursery.  They are not producing yet, if that makes a difference.

    Yes you can move them.

  • Just be careful when you dig them out, try not to get too close to the roots.  You don't want to damage them.  (They are likely not deeply rooted by this point, so this should be pretty easy.)
