Anybody familiar with these?  What's the quality like?

A friend of mine is having a party tomorrow and I do actually need a few things so I'm considering buying something (lunch tote, wallet thingy), but the prices are high enough that I don't want to be pissed when it falls apart in a couple of months. 

 

for people who are not familiar, it's a home-sales based purse thing - like pampered chef, but purses.  They are the ones that sell that purse with the interchangeable covers.  Catalog here:

Their stuff is super cute and is good quality from what I can tell.  My sister has one of the big totes that she uses to bring stuff to and from work (she's a teacher) and my sister-in-law has a lunch tote.

Miche are the interchangeable covers.  I don't think 31 bags are interchangeable.  I have a few and love them.  I have 2 utility totes and 2 lunch bags and haven't had any issues.  I think overall the prices are good for the quality especially with specials some of the consultants offer.  The consultant I use always has some good deal that makes it very appealing to purchase.

Dh's cousin got me the organizing utility tote as a baby shower gift. It's not something that I would have picked out for myself, but it seem to be decent quality. I have been tempted in the past to purchase a lunch tote from them, but I'm the touchy feely type and would need to see it in person before ordering it.

31 bags has one specific purse with the interchangeable covers.  Most of their purses aren't interchangeable.  I just mentioned the "skirt purse" (what they call it) because it's the only one I know I've seen in person, so I figured it's popular.

ETA: followup - since you have a couple, have you actually been to a party for them?  does the consultant typically bring many purses to see in person?  (at least...does yours?  I know they're all probably different, but I'm starting with no clue here)   I'm with Leslie in that I'd be a lot more likely to buy a purse if I can see it in person.

I've never been to a party, but a friend of mine went to one and was impressed with the options.  Can you add your review after you see them in person?  I keep eying up their stuff on line but am hesitant to buy without seeing them myself.

Yes they usually bring a fair amount of products.

Yes, and I think they are super cute! I just ordered a lunch tote. My friend sells them and the quality is pretty good.

Funny enough, one of our admin assts at work has a friend who is a consultant, so she hosts parties for her every once in a while... b/c of that, nearly every teacher in our school has a 31 lunch tote that's monogrammed.  The faculty room fridge is entertaining to peek at, to say the least.

I'm currently debating one of the organizing utility totes.

one of the mom's in kira's dance class sells both things.  i have managed to go the whole year and not purchase anything, i am proud of myself.  my strength is weakening though

That's cute, the fridge full of different patterns and monograms.  Flipping through the catelog the lunch tote seems like a great value.  Ok, so that's settled, I'm definitely getting one of those.

Now I just need to decide if I'm getting anything else too...

I don't have a purse, but my sister does, and I have other stuff...quality is good!

My good friend started selling and has been trying to get me to have a party. I don't have the money to buy anything and I know lots of my friends don't either. I would hate to have a party and waste her time. Hearing the good reviews though, may be I'll survey my friends and see if there is any interest.

Well thanks to that lovely spammer bumping this post - I'll just take this as a chance to say that I'm going to another 31 party (a friend of mine decided to become a consultant) and if anybody has any interest in seeing the stuff in person it's definitely an "invite a friend" kind of party, so feel free to PM me or message me on FB if you'd like to come.  It's in AA county.
