30th bday ideas...while we are 'camping'
Good Afternoon Ladies - I am working on thinking a theme, or idea for my husband's 30th birthday. We own a camper (this sounds so trashy, but it is really nice) on a lake campgroun and I will be doing his birthday there. I am renting a boat (we have one already) to accomodate the additional guests and renting camp sites for everyone.
So with that background...I would really like to have some sort of theme and have an actual party one night we are up there...any ideas? The birthday isn't until the end of August, just trying to get organzied! Thanks in advance!
Re: 30th bday ideas...while we are 'camping'
You could go with a nautical theme since your weekend will be based around boating.
"Join us for some Nautical Nonsense to celebrate x's # birthday"
What about a campfire theme? S'mores, hot dogs, and the trimmings. Easy to transport. Or will that not really be original enough since you're already camping and probably eating that stuff anyway?
You could always grilled steaks and seafood and do a tropical theme.
I was thinking campfire too.
You could call it John's Birthday Bonfire Bash.
How about a Smores bar instead of a cake? Different kinds of chocolate (milk, white, dark) and graham crackers (honey, cinammon, chocolate) to choose from.
If you're feeling especially theme-y, you could make a soundtrack or even CD favors of songs about fire, flame, bright light, etc. to play during the party.
As far as decor goes, how about just buying everything in red/yellow? Red solo cups, yellow utensils and napkins, red drink koozies. Maybe a simple happy bday banner to hang on the outside of the camper.
HTH!
I also like PPs nautical idea. You can decorate with a couple of simple nautical banners hanging between the camper and some trees. And have plastic tableware in coordinating colors.
