What's growing in your flower/veg. garden?
I noticed there are a few gardener's here so I thought I would see how your plantings were going?
I have some containers around my deck that are still empty I have only managed to plant yellow columbine in one of them. On the side yard I planted some clippings of hydrangea and most of them are doing very well. We have also done some work in the rock garden to ease some of the overcrowding done by previous owners.
As for veggies we only planted a few variety of tomato plants. We did them in containers this year so we will see how they turn out. I'm glad we did this because of the cold temps and frost we've had a few nights. We were able to bring them inside overnight.

Re: What's growing in your flower/veg. garden?
I have a lot of roses blooming right now - pink, red and peach! I wish I knew the varieties, but I inherited them with the house.
My mint is in bloom. I lot of other herbs are doing well too, and some came back from last year (rosemary, thyme and oregano).
I have a lot of veggies and fruits planted: tomatoes (4 varieties), peppers (3 varieties), greens (3 varieties), zucchini, summer squash, leeks, broccoli, green beans, blackberries and strawberries. I was shocked to see green fruit already on my roma tomato plants! Everything is growing really well here! I covered what I had planted in the first cold snap but in the other one, I didn't and everything is fine. I think my greens and broccoli loved it - they really grew during the cold!
We have some too on our Sweet 100 Cherry & Celebrity!
