My fan on my laptop is always running while on and blows hot air out of the vents...what can I do to make my laptop cool down?

Re: diagnose my laptop
Especially if you have pets, the fan may be clogged. You can (carefully) blow a can of air into the vent to try and clear it out. But, the fan is supposed to always run and the air is going to be hot. If you can hear it, it's probably working too hard though.
To help it, I'd get a cooling pad. A pretty good one runs between $20-30. It'll really help the air flow around your computer and can help avoid a disastrous overheating.
I have been thinking about getting a cooling pad. Do you rec a specific brand or type? We do not have any pets so that wouldnt be the issue.
TIA
It depends how you use your laptop. If you keep it on a table and don't ever keep it on your lap one like this (http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-NotePal-Notebook-R9-NBC-8PCK-G/dp/B003ZMF27G/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1305827465&sr=1-6) is great. If you want to take it off the table, this one (http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Cooling-N100-Dusty-Rose/dp/B003JZC7BS/ref=sr_1_18?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1305827465&sr=1-18) works pretty well. I have a Mac and it does a decent job (Macs get really hot). This one (http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Comfort-Lapdesk-white-grey/dp/B001NJ0WCS/ref=sr_1_23?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1305827465&sr=1-23) also looks great.
Sorry that the formatting sucks. I'm using Chrome and TheNest doesn't work on it yet. Hopefully that'll get fixed soon.
