K can sing "take me out to the ballgame", I don't know anything about baseball but he was looking at pics that people posted of fenway on my phone from FB and kept asking "WHAT'S THAT?!" So I told him it was baseball but mommy knows nothing about baseball other than there's a bat "A BAT?" a ball "A BAWL?" and you run around bases.. "RUN? RUNNNNNN?" but I did know a song about it.
He sings it, most of it isn't real words but when he knows the word he belts it out! And of course he sways. But the best is the end.. when he gets to the "old ball game" He stretches out game and lowers his voice and shakes his head like in the big finish kind of way.
first, Jana, your post made me smile!!!!! How adorable!
As for me, making me smile today were two things: first, Ben giving me a big kiss and hug at school; second, Maddy learning to give "mooches" (we call kisses mooches) and finally giving me one at school too!

yay, jana's here! that story is adorable.
what's making me smile is that for a brief moment i thought another one of my classroom laptops was stolen, but it was just jammed in the wrong spot. phew.
I was thinking of taking K for a ride today, yesterday by the mall we saw a family of geese. We sat (in the car with windows down) for about 20 minutes looking at them and watching them eat. LOVED IT.
I think I'll take him for a ride by the reservoir today! It was that or down by the beaches.. we just need to get. out.

wait a minute- my trip to the dollar store this afternoon to pick up decorations for islas birthday party. i am buying everything yellow. she loves yellow, i love that she loves it and its a bright , happy , color ... and whats not to smile about buying things at the dollar store. everything is $1!
see?? YOU DID IT! HIGH FIVE!
psh. The dollar store makes everything better. Hello, helium balloons for a buck.
So far, bringing the kids to the dentist made me smile. It cracks me up to hear them interact with adults.
Hygienist: Tristan, what's your favorite sport?
Tristan: You know, lacrosse, cuz Ty plays lacrosse and I got lacrosse sticks for my birthday and an orange ball but I lost the ball so I use a tennis ball but sometimes Daisy...that's my dog...she's orange like the ball....bites the ball and I get mad.....
And it went on for a good 2 minutes. I love that kid!
Later, I'm sure I'll be smiling as I finish up the mobile I'm making for my cousin's new baby. Remember my cousin's wife who lost her Dad suddenly a few weeks ago at 8 1/2 months pregnant? Well they finally had her. Mackenzie Ann was NINE days late, but I'm sure well worth it. We're going up to see her tonight or tomorrow (she was born with a fever so we're waiting until that resolves) and I know I'll be smiling big!!
I really needed this. Tomorrow's my last day in my office and I'm here supposedly to clear my desk and wrap things up but every time I go to start I get all emotional over something stupid, like the paper clip holder Ty got me for Mother's Day for my desk when he was, like, 7....or the Halloween decorations my old boss bought me one year for my desk.
Sigh...make me smile everyone!
That story made me smile!!! And it is ironic, as the fact I am going to the Red Sox game tonight also makes me smile!
And Benjamin made me smile today. He makes me smile so much, my face starts to hurt.
The story Ella made up this morning with cut out felt animals.
Calling my sister and having Olivia sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider and 5 Green and Speckled Frogs to me.
Coming into work - yes I really do love my job.
Shannon just "helped" me paint my toes. Not just my toenails. My toes! Hearing her little "oops!" every time she accidentally got it on my skin was precious and definitely made me smile.
I'm keeping them this way and not bothering to clean them up. Nobody sees my toes anyway...
