Restoring/preserving antique fabrics

I'm wondering if any Nesties can help me out with this.  Here's a little back story to make you snort on this crappy day: Easter weekend I'm visiting with a good friend at her parents house (picture old school Filipinos with lots of antiques)  They offer me a seat in the formal living room (gasp! no one sits in the formal living room!) and I quickly suggested we go some where more lived in.  No, no, she says, we'll sit in here.  Ok, so I sit my butt on the beautiful, antique, white silk sofa with my brand new Banana Republic dark wash denim capris.  Can you see where I'm going with this?  Two hours later, I get up off the couch to leave, turn around and see my  fat @ss print in blue ink all over the sofa.  Lovely.  I'll give you a moment to clean the beverage you just spit all over yourself.

I was horrified.  These are some of the sweetest people I know, life long friends of DH's, and I left my print on their furniture.  At least it wasn't Aunt Flo....  Anyway, we did an online search of upholstery (sp?) specialist in RI but most people won't even come to LOOK at the fabric b/c it's antique silk.  I figured we have to look for some old school small businesses that probably aren't on the internet.  Know what I mean?

Bottom line: does anyone know of a person/business who specialized in antique fabrics?
