WW girls who love Thai food

May be a long shot...but...I'm going out with my friends for Thai food tonight.  What so you suggest?  I'm fairly new to Thai food as it is so I have no idea what I'm ordering in the first place.

Re: WW girls who love Thai food

  • just stay away from anything deep fried and you'll be fine. some of my faves are chicken in ginger or lemongrass sauce. some places have ginger or garlic shrimp dishes that have tons of veggies and those are usually great too. i also love pad thai, pad see ew, and the gai kua (or kau gai) noodles. i usually get those dishes shrimp because that the most bang for your buck pointswise.

  • also, if you do some searches on thai or specific dishes on ww.com you can get a rough idea of the points before you go.

  • Yeah, I did that, but I'm so unfamiliar with Thai food that I have no idea what it is I'm looking at!  HAAAA!

  • My favorite thai dish is the hot basil garlic chicken.  it's cooked with onion and peppers and the sauce is HOT!  which is what i love :)  it's nice and thinly sliced chicken too, so it's easy to portion control, you'll feel like you ate so much of it, but really it was hardly anything!
  • lol! pad see ew and gai kua are fat noodles (the same or similar to chow fun noodles) and both in a soy sauce saute. really good!! i want some thai now. thank pam :P

  • Chicken lemongrass is my favorite, although I am not sure what's in the lemongrass sauce. We always get nim chow (rice, shrimp, lettuce, and basil wrapped in rice paper). Yum yum, I think I am getting Thai for dinner tonight.
