Orlando Cocktail Reception Venues?
Hello! I am planning a cocktail reception for work, taking place in April., with approx. 60 people. I am looking for unique venues, not just a hotel or restaurant. Any suggestions??
TIA!
Re: Orlando Cocktail Reception Venues?
I should add that all the guests will be out-of-towners, so touristy things are welcome! For example, last year's event took place in San Diego, so I held the cocktail reception at the San Diego Zoo.
Thanks again!!
Universal City Walk (assorted clubs and restaurants)
Disney - Epcot or Disney Hollywood Studios (restrictions on where the group is staying as to whether or not you can have events in the theme parks)
Boardwalk Resort at Disney (ballroom, The Attic, or on the beach)
Yacht & Beach Club at Disney (on the beach)
Gaylord Palms has some cool restaurants and ambience in their hotel
Fantasy of Flight
Paradise Cove (Lake Buena Vista Watersports)
Orlando Museum of Art
Leu Gardens
Also City Art downtown has some rental space.
If you haven't already done so, submit an event proposal through Orange County Convention and Visitors Bureua. Your lead will get sent out to their list serv and you'll hear from lots of interested parties.
My heart is as open as the sky.
Read about it on the blog
2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
I was going to suggest The Courtyard at Lake Lucerne and Casa Feliz. Also, the Orlando Museum of Art with the Chihuly Sculpture in the rotunda is a beautiful area. The Orlando Science Center also does receptions.
This is a great list. I don't really have anything to add.
I will mention that I worked with Universal City Walk's events people a few years back for a corporate event and they were great to work with. They actually have several venues with private spaces, so they can help you pick the one that best suits your group. We went with Pat O'Brien's and it was a big hit.
Good luck with your event!

I would look into resorts like Royal Pacific, Portofino or somewhere disney. Even though tthey are hotels they have fun venue options.
