I'm starting to apply for jobs and am finding that applications want info for reason for leaving. I'm not sure what to put. One particular job, which is similar to what I"m trying to find now, I left because the boss sucked and didn't support her employees. When I left I returned to my previous employer (in a different field) and started out making 3k more. I don't know what to put for my reson for leaving? Especially because I can't use pay as an excuse because I expect the pay to be similar now to what it was then. Help please.
Re: reason for leaving? help
This. I left for the same reason. I was there a year and a half. No one really questioned why when I had said it wasn't a good fit. I had one HR person ask me what about the job wasn't a good fit. I explained that the job description was different than what the job actually was. The woman asked me if it was supervisor issue. I said yes. I didn't get the job, but I learned later that the supervisor I would have had was worse than my previous supervisor.
I did the same thing! I left a terrible job with nothing else lined up. It was a work/life balance issue, mostly, so I have said that it was not a good fit.
