thank goddddd its friday. it will likely be a long day, but at least i can relax tonight and sleep late tomorrow!
i am going to see both the new fast five movie and bridesmaids this weekend. aside from the usual weekend fun of cleaning and getting groceries, i will also plant some tomato plants and basil plants with my mom and then gerren and i will go get the rest of our grill accessories. and i have to run at least 4 miles tomorrow. serious half marathon training started this week, so far, i am right on track.

it's only 8:25 and I already want to punch someone in the face. Maybe it's the hormones kicking in already, maybe I'm just a B***h. I don't care at this point.
Tomorrow night we were supposed to go to a beer tent with some of my friends to celebrate my 30th b-day. I emailed yesterday and said that we're playing it by ear b/c it's supposed to thunderstorm, not just sprinkle here and there, but full on thunder and lightening. They don't know I'm KU'd, so I was just going to play it off and try to not get too annoyed with drunk people. Now they are b****ing b/c I'm going to let "a little rain" stop my b-day celebration.
my thoughts are:
1. It's my freakin b-day. I can do what i want to do. If you want to join us, fine. If not I don't really care b/c it's going to be my b-day if you're there or not.
2. I've stood under a beer tent before under a thunderstorm. It sucks. I don't want to do it again and it's not the safest place to be in a storm anyway.
3. I can't drink (which they don't know).
4. Sorry my not wanting to go interfers with your plans to get wasted.
I'm so sick of my friends. I've really pulled myself away from them lately and I get pulling further and further. I had lunch with a friend a couple weeks ago who asked how I was doing, etc. I didn't even go into details or anything b/c i know she's having a hard time being single. her response was "At least you get to worry and do everything with your husband. I'm alone." Well, F U. This is why I don't want to tell you anything about myself b/c you see it as me rubbing it in your face!
Whew, I feel better. Sorry for the rant, had to get it out.

Well, today's my birthday, so DH is taking me out to this really nice restaurant. I haven't opened my present, so I don't know what it is! I'm determined to have a good day at work, but knowing what's vaguely on schedule is not inspiring - I have a feeling I'm going to be stuck here a little late.
I'm meeting my friend for lunch today. Tomorrow, I think I'm going to lunch with another friend - possibly PF Chang's. It all depends on how late I sleep in and whether DH mows the lawn. Cause tomorrow night, we're going to his cousin's kid's birthday party (who throws a 2 yr old's party at 6pm?).
Sunday morning, MIL wants to take us to breakfast. And right after that, DH is headed to the airport for his business trip. :-(

Moleson-You go right on being a beetch and no worries! Tell them that for your birthday you have decided that you want to go to a candy store, icecream and then go get the latest movie releases and not leave your couch. They are big people they can still go get smashed if they wish.
Today might pan out to be a pretty good day. We are in the middle of a storm just like you east coasters. I sort of love it because it's going to be wonderfully pretty and green here in a month.

I finally have pretty toes. The nail tech kept pointing out how lousy my feet looked and even showed me a gross hangnail. So sorry that giving birth interfered with my vanity. Thanks, dude.
Have nephew's 5th bday party tomorrow afternoon. Otherwise no plans for the weekend other than enjoying any nice weather that arrives on Sunday. *Crosses fingers*

And ditto Brew, if the world does end, I have you ladies to thank for lessening the stresses of life for the last 1.5 or 2 years (really?). If the world doesn't end, see you Monday or before.
I am off for the next two days and there is beautiful weather to be enjoyed. I hope to get some more garden and landscaping work done and take pictures this time to document it all (maybe a blog). The baby shower I am throwing is this Sunday and I have a bunch of last minute projects to do and shopping for gifts. Looking more forward to the shopping part as my boss handed my money and said she wouldn't have time to shop. Yay for spending someone else's money.

My dads birthday falls on the rapture, so he requested that in the event that this is the end all, he wanted to go to Napa and get drunk. So tomorrow my mom, dad and Sam will hop in the car and do the wine thing. I'm excited.

We have plans to hang out with some friends downtown and enjoy the warm weather. Maybe catch the Giants and A's game.

Last night I watched Glee (the episode from Tues) oh how sad. I had to hold back tears. Richard was singing the Pure Imagination song last night. I overheard him singing it while he was in the bathroom. It was really cute. Also watched Grey's last night. I can't believe Derick is so mad at Meredith, and Alex is such an a$$ for snitching on Mer.
Tomorrow we are having a yard sale in the am. Then we'll probably go have a drink tomorrow night. That's really all we have planned for the weekend. Since we're moving I think we'll start packing the things that we don't use too much so that we're ready once we start moving out.
Go A's! Not a baseball fan but I support all Oakland teams.

Happy Birthday Emilee and Moleson!
I'm at work, but barely. Had a rough night last night where I puked because of brushing my teeth. Do not want. The only reason I came is that my mom's voice was in the back of my head, that you can't call in sick on a Friday, because they'll think you just want an extra day of weekend. Plus I'm getting my hair did tomorrow, and it just doesn't seem right to be well enough for that but not work. Boo.
Other than getting my hair cut and highlighted, this weekend is open for us, which I'm looking forward to. I do have to mow the lawn at some point (H is allergic to cut grass), but I suppose I'll survive that.
All of my friends are Giants fans and I've loved the A's since i was a kid. Even when they suck, they're still my team.
PS-Someone needs to shoot me. They're putting on a new roof on our office building and we're on our the top floor so I get to hear this all the work. It sounds like they're bowling, drilling and playing on a slip and slide. Please make this day end.
