I totally get this. You don't want to have abnormal results BUT you want an answer so you can start treating whatever the issue is and just feel better already.

My side of the family is having a cookout this weekend b/c future in-laws are coming in town to meet everyone before a wedding. However, this side of the family has had a cookout every weekend for various celebrations for the past 3 weeks and we've attended all of them. DH and I just can't do another one so we are bailing. I feel bad b/c I would've liked to meet the newbies. But come on, couldn't we have done brunch or something besides grilling hotdogs and hamburgers AGAIN?

This is how I felt when all my MRIs came back normal.  As much as I didn't want something to be wrong, I wanted a reason for my migraines. 

I just posted on fb about how if the world is ending tomorrow has it already ended in Austraila, Japan, China, etc since it is already tomorrow there. . . . one of my 2nd cousins asked if they are really that far ahead of us. . . um, seriously?!?!  Yes, it is already Saturday in part of the world!  I just can't even formulate a response to that.

One of my good friends deleted her FB account today - her other friends are having SO MUCH FARKING DRAMZ that she had to disengage. I feel bad for that, but selfishly, I want to be able to talk to her on FB.

thank you!  I just felt like anything I said would come off like a total b*tch.  This is someone who has two kids, is 24, and her fb posts sound like they came out of the mouth of a 13 yr old.  I haven't actually seen her since 1999 since she is on my dad's side and well that realtionship is all but dead.  I just can't believe at 24 you wouldn't know that parts of world are a day ahead of us!

Today at the doctor's office, they assigned me the other doctor in the practice (not the one I originally planned to see). Then, I realized that they are twins (at least I'm pretty sure.) For some reason, I thought this was hilarious and was quite amused. But I kept that to myself.

no, because I wasn't FB friends with them, so I don't see their problems unless we're IRL and I'm hearing about it! I've kept myself distanced on purpose.

My car is a couple K's away from 100K miles, and DH and I are thinking about selling it and buying a "family car" (a minivan) for the cash we get for it. My car is paid off and in great shape, but its safety scores are pretty bad, and we don't want to put our theoretical future children in it.  I know this is the practical and reasonable way to do things but it makes me so sad to think about getting rid of my car. I remember first seeing him online while researching cars and got shivers, srsly. I still love him (yes, my car is a he, his name is Howard Roark).  Being responsible sucks.

Holly, are you going to buy a minivan for the same price as what you get for your car? If so, depending on what it's worth, you may not get something that's better in terms of safety.

Holly, are you going to buy a minivan for the same price as what you get for your car? If so, depending on what it's worth, you may not get something that's better in terms of safety.

We're being very careful in our research, and unless we get 1990 Dodge Caravan, almost anything would be better than my car's safety ratings. That's what you get when you buy the first model year of a car though, there's almost always something wrong with them. As long as we make sure to check the history of the car we buy, we will be in a better position. Thankfully, DH is a mechanic and is very diligent about keeping his cars in prime working order. That helps me feel better about the switch too.

I bit the bullet and bought a nursing bra for the hospital bag.......in size 38D.  And it fit.  (for the record, I was a 36A pre-pregnancy).

I am very ticked I am sunburnt even though I intentionally didn't put sunscreen on my legs so they would get some color. I also didn't stay through the end of our tennis session tonight to get a former #1 in the worlds pic and siggy...I'm a tired wimp. Guess that's what happens when you have been at work since 6am...

I get it too. I've had patients break down in tears on the table after a procedure with a normal finding because they're frustrated. Sorry you don't have an answer yet.

Hi GP!!!  yes, due at the end of june - 5 weeks to go (ack!).  thanks for the best wishes and hugs!  i'm sure i'll be on a lot more once the baby arrives and i'm home during the day.
