  • We have a Samsung LCD that we are very happy with, I don't know much about the brands you posted.

  • Samsung TVs are nice
  • I know some that swear by vizo or sony ... unfortunetly right now, those two or samnsung aren't my options and can only find store reviews on them so far.

  • None of those brands are really any good.

I'd buy a Samsung. I have a Samsung TV and a Samsung monitor and the quality is excellent and the price is great.

  • If you purchase an LCD HDTV go for something that is 1080p (not 720), this is for better resolution. Samsung makes great tv's as well as LG, avoid the brands above, never even heard of them.  Best buy was having a great sale on flatscreens and also check out BJ's.
  • We have a Panasonic plasma though I don't remember if we got 720 or 1080. We were told that the big diff between Plasma vs LCD is glare. LCD can't be in sunlight or oppisite a window but our TV never has been so I'm not really sure how well that works! Anyway if you get a Plasma you have to be careful with it. You can NOT lay it flat for one, and if you move it, you really have to baby it. One wrong bump and you've got an expensive paperweight on your hands. We moved last summer and when our movers found out it was a plasma they said they would prefer not to touch it b/c they are so easy to break. (Which was no problem, it's 60" but we had my DH and FIL to move it) Anyway, I'd keep that in mind, I don't think I'd buy another plasma again though we've had no other problems with it.
  • Ditto PP, skip the Plasma. They're fragile and temperamental. Go with an LCD or LED TV instead.  At 32 inches, there isn't a big difference between 720p or 1080p/i, but above 32 inches it becomes much more noticeable.

When I went shopping, I got a helluva deal on a Sony Bravia from TigerDirect.com.  They have email coupons/sales every few days - I got a TV listed at $899 for $400 (with free shipping!).  We absolutely love it.  Their customer service is also outstanding, so if you have questions, or any issues, they're GREAT with helping. :-)
