Starting a vegetable garden
I am planning to start raised bed vegetable garden (one of the raised bed kits from Home Depot).
What are some good veggies and herbs to by now and plant.
Should I buy the plants versus the seeds for right now?
Re: Starting a vegetable garden
Where are you?
I'm in VA (zone 7) and it's too late to start tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, etc. from seed. So, I'd buy plants for those. For things like carrots or radishes, you can direct sow those now.

Sometimes I wonder if scientists have never seen a sci-fi movie before. "Oh yes, let's create a super species of deer. NOTHING COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG." I wonder if State Farm offers a Zombie Deer Attack policy. -CaliopeSpidrman
Oh, yeah greens! You can also grow lettuce and basil pretty much by just sprinkling some seeds and keeping the soil wet. If it's hot where you are look for bolt-resistant lettuce.
