Anonymous poll - debate tonight

Re: Anonymous poll - debate tonight

  • I said the 2nd one. It's domestic policy tonight right? If Obama says one word about education McCain should bring it up, but only in the context of education. None of that "he's a terrorist" stuff.

  • I'm torn between "absolutely" and "no."

    That's logical.

I went with the second one too.  I actually think he needs to try to shoehorn it in to at least look like he's running a consistent campaign, but if it's a stretch to stick it in a response, he'll look desperate.

I'm sure Obama has a really good comeback that's liable to be worse than Mccains attack on Obama. KWIM?

ITA with this--he shouldn't bring it up, not because is isn't relevant, but because Obama surely has a one-liner comeback that will become the soundbite. ?

I'm just hoping McCain comes into this with a good economy script and plan, and I think I'd also be hammering home the point that serious Dem House and Senate majorities + Obama = no one to stop crazy left wing agenda. ?

  • I agree with Caden---he should for he can easily bring in the education piece which is the one that can help him hit home with many.

    Ditto x a billion.

I'll say it again, if McCain can't turn the economic crisis into a home run issue for him then he deserves to get his ass kicked in November.

  • I picked absolutely, tongue in cheek.

I think Obama has spent weeks crafting a clear response to this accusation that will set the record straight.  Go ahead, John, ask away.

  • I think he will bring it up, and I think it's Bad Idea Jeans.

I agree.  I think Obama's practically baiting him into bringing it up tonight, and if McCain falls into the trap, he'll be sorry.

  • I think he'll stick to his word and bring it up, but I can't imagine on what planet it's a good idea. It's been loosing for him, there's a new poll out showing it's loosing for him terribly, and Obama is prepared for the attack.

I have an odd quantity of anticipation to see the dial go negative on CNN when it comes up.

  • I picked he should b/c every time he does it raises Obama's numbers.
