Tell me if I'm being a little paranoid, or what.

I am on maternity leave. The day before I had the baby I got a text message from my dept head asking a question, so I got up and sent her a super thorough reply explaining the answer, asking how everything is going, etc. I get no reply. So I text her later that night, no reply. So I e-mail again, nothing.

Fast forward, last week I send all the administrators and my whole dept an e-mail saying I had the baby and a picture, I hope all is well. Nothing. I got a response from a friend of mine (not in my dept) and my sub. Nothing from a single administrator, nor my two dept heads or my dept. 

Last week in the principals note to the staff he announced that my co-worker had her baby and they were waiting to hear from me. This weeks note to the staff says nothing. Now, I'm wondering, did I piss someone off? Did they not get my e-mail? Is it weird that no one would write back? Am I just super paranoid?

Um... where the heck is the principal's head that he didn't realize you had sent an email with your baby's photo?!?!?

And nobody mentioned it to him either? I'd be pissed, not paranoid!

I don't know, to me it sounds like they somehow didn't get your email, since the principal mentioned that he was still waiting to hear from you -- obviously you are on his mind, and not just being ignored.

I agree.  I wonder if your emails are being blocked/filtered since there have been a series of e-mails sent to different people and you haven't heard back.  I'd try calling to check in.

I agree with Megan - seems like your email somehow didn't make it to him - I doubt he'd bring you up in his message if they were trying to leave you out for some reason - maybe try giving them a call?

Well we'll see, I sent the principal another picture of Sam in an outfit the principal had bought me. I double checked the e-mail too and they are all on there. I think its maybe just busy with the end of the year coming up. Still, thought I'd at least hear back from my department heads who are both women, and both women that I spent a lot of time with over the year.
