So we are really slow today, does everyone have a case of the Monday Blahs?
Anyone have exciting things that happened over the weekend that they want to share?
Re: Monday Blah
I hate when it's quiet on a Monday because this is our slowest phone day so the work day takes for.ev.errrrr.
My only excitement is that I finally upgraded my stupid blackberry and got the iPhone. I've been sucked into the Apple world and I don't think I'll get out of it now. I love new toys.
I seriously have the Monday Blahs here. It doesn't help that it's humid and rainy outside, and inside the office is freezing cold because there's a vent right above my cube. ugh.
I keep trying to remind myself that I have off next monday for memorial day, which means a long weekend, but it seems so far away right now.

I am anxious for Monday to be over too. My physics class is doing a project that has taken over my classroom, but they are finishing it up next period and cleaning it up. I can't stand the disorder!
On a good Monday note...today is my last Monday of the school year!!!
Nothing exciting happened over the weekend for me. I have some pretty new planters on the side of my driveway and that's about it.
My sister and nephew left this morning to head back to Boston. So that made my Monday kind of suck. I went to my parents' house at 6:30 this morning to spend some time with them before they had to leave for the airport. Cried my eyes out, which I always do when they leave (or I leave them), but it was especially bad today because my nephew gave me a loooong hug, told me he loved me, and got all teary eyed himself.
OK, now I'm crying again.
Other than that, Monday is ok. Just working. It's a typical Monday.

I am off on Monday's so they are pretty much awesome around here. I was supposed to have to testify in court today for a report I wrote at work but I just found out court was continued so I don't have to go.
Today is my Dad's birthday so I have been running around getting dinner and cake ready since I thought my afternoon would be shot. Now I don't know what I am going to do for the rest of the day!
I have to go get pool supplies but after spending $1,000 on a robot to clean the pool yesterday I am dreading going back today.
Ick. That sucks!
My parents call their robot "Floyd" and my dog hates (I mean HATES!) Floyd. He really causes her a lot of anxiety. When we're in the pool, she just sits and stares at Floyd, barking if we get too close. When my nephew was in there over the weekend, she really got weird, because she wanted to protect him. It was kind of cute, but I felt sad for her, too, for being so afraid of it...and getting so anxious over it.

My weekend was...ehh. Kinda sh*tty with DH, so I'm in a funky funk.
Yes to the Monday blahs here...
One of my best work friends quit on Friday - I'm so excited and happy for her, but will miss her.
My weekend was fun - it was four days, and I drove out to Scottsdale for my best friend's birthday, and got to watch her 5 year old graduate from preschool (who knew preschoolers got graduations???).
Then I went to Palm Springs for a good friend's bachelorette party - we got a four bedroom house with pool table, foosball table, heated salt water pool and spa, and had a total ladies weekend!
But now it's Monday. Boo!
LOL isn't it kind of ridiculous? My younger brother had a big one we all had to go to and they even got professional pictures taken in their caps and gowns. And the caps and gowns weren't made out of paper, they were silk and white. My Mom doesn't have a single graduation picture up of any of her other kids, but you better believe she has an 11X14 preschool graduation picture of my brother hanging right in the formal living room lol. The rest of us joke that we could go on to get our PhD's but that accomplishment wouldn't even compare to the preschool graduation in my Mom's eyes.
Kearstin - Lol. My sis switched from BB to iphone as soon as Verizon got them and still talks about how happy she is to be done with BB.
Megan - where are your parents going?
Ashlee - no way! Yesterday was my mom's bday!
Kenna- that sounds fabulous (Palm Springs)
And yep, I'm replying even though it's Tuesday b/c I wasn't on yesterday.
My wknd was pretty good, my parents and sister came to visit. The girls did some shopping and my dad, bro, and Ben did a mini-barcrawl to collect some tokens to redeem for prizes since it's Craft Beerweek here. We met up at Whole Foods for some beer-cheese tastings. I rarely shop there b/c it's so expensive but last year they built a new store which is the Midwest Flagship and it's friggin amazing!! A bar right when you walk in and another wine bar in the middle of the store which has wine and cheese flights. Everyone you see grocery shopping the female has a glass of wine and the guy a beer. Lol.

Sorry...my parents aren't going anywhere. It was my sister and nephew who were at my parents' house that I went to spend time with. They were leaving to go back home to Boston.
