I bought up lots of plants this weekend but I couldn't find any winter squash like butternut - just the summer squashes like zucchini. Is this normal to not find or do you think they'll come out soon? We are behind most people's growing season so Memorial Day weekend is a popular time to plant summer veggies anyway.
I did buy winter squash seeds BUT it was a variety pack of winter squashes which I thought would be ok except that all the seeds look exactly the same. I'm gonna start them any way just in-case I can't find a butternut squash plant but I dunno that even the sprouts will look that different?? I really don't have room for lots of squash.
I also bought an artichoke plant but I know nothing about them. Do they need extra care like being staked or need to be near or not near certain things?
