I usually don't post on this board, but I have a question about my netbook and hoped you could help.
DH and I are going on a trip to Seattle later this summer (we live in PA). I have an ereader on my netbook, and am going to upload some new books to read on the plane and such. I want to also put music on my netbook, but I don't need to upload it. I have a ton of cds that I love and want to put on there to listen to while I'm gone. The problem is my netbook doesn't have a cd player (to put a cd in and save the songs to the netbook). DH's laptop does though.
So my question is, is there a good way to put a cd in DH's laptop, and transfer the songs to something that I can then plug into my netbook to upload the songs onto? I'm not sure if this even makes sense. I don't have an MP3 player, and don't really want to spend the money for one right now (I know they're not that expensive, but I'm trying to work with what I have).
TIA!
Re: Question about my Netbook
Rip the CDs to your DH's laptop then share out the music folder on his laptop.
Connect your netbook to his share, it should show up under networks, or you'll connect to something like \husbandlaptopnamemusic.
Copy the music from his share to your netbook. It will take a while since you'll be copying over the network, but it will work.
Alternatively, you could copy the music from DH's laptop to a USB drive and then plug the USB drive into the netbook and copy the music from the USB drive.
