We might be getting another dog!
I'm actually really excited about this possibility. A good friend of mine is moving to downtown Philly to start teaching at Drexel in the Fall. She has two dogs, one hers- a lab/doberman mix and one her ex husband's- a Boston terrier. She's not sure if she'll be able to find a place that will allow both dogs, or any dogs. In the event that she can't take them with her, her parents have offered to take hers for as long as needed, but they can't manage two dogs. So we offered to take in the Boston terrier :-). She's been well trained and well socialized with both people and dogs, so no worries there. We think she'll get along with Loki, but obviously we'd have to let them spend time together to know for sure.
I feel silly that I'm this excited about it. Especially since there's no way to know for sure that we're getting her. Makes me think that if it doesn't work out we'll have to look into adopting another dog.

I know how you feel. Whenever we watched another dog we're always like, see 2 dogs aren't too bad, maybe we should look into getting another.
