Re: Assignment for you:
I'm on it! Mine will probably be complaining about my teenager. He had outpatient nose surgery on Friday and you would've thought it was brain surgery. Oh my gosh, this has been the worse weekend of my life--I was so happy to drop his butt off at school this morning. AAAHHHHHH.
How was your night away?? Pure Heaven? I thought about you as I was here..
Yeah, how was Antrim?
Antrim was good.
The food was good, our room was good, we had a private balcony, etc. Our bed kinda sucked though and neither of us slept really well. It sounds so petty, but it was a disappointment. I actually slept on the floor for a litlte bit. The full benefit of the kid-free night was not experienced. It was nice to reconnect and have some time alone though - and especially needed b/c we had a little tiff on Friday night.
Dessert was peanut butter and bacon pie/tart - it was quite awesome!
Last year we had 2 nights - one night at home (just went out for dinner and a movie) and then went away Saturday came home and picked up E Sunday. That was really nice - I think we'll try to do that again next year.
not petty at all. That would seriously piss me off to the point that I would probably write a review on tripadvisor or something like that about it.
I think I am going to write them a letter/email. It wasn't poor quality - it was a super soft feather bed and then super soft/light pillows. I'm not really picky and can pretty much sleep anywhere - especially after I've had a few cocktails and some wine. Normally when you stay somewhere nice, they have really soft pillows on the bed and then there are always a few firm ones stuck in the closet. This was all soft fluffy pillows.
