Daydreaming about travel makes me happy
I've been thinking today about all of the places I want to try to visit during our two year tour. I was looking at someone's pictures of their vacation in Jordan and I started getting excited about all of the possibilities. I've been playing a fun game of making up hypothetical vacations around the holiday schedule. Then I realized that our anniversary falls during the tentative dates for Eid-al-Adha (holiday for the Muslim pilgrimage). If we have our full-time nanny set up by then, I would love to surprise DH and take him to Dubai, Doha, or Amman. I just hope that DH is up for working regular travel into our budget.
Re: Daydreaming about travel makes me happy
Yeah, well, I'm going on a vacation to Wisconsin AND Minnesota in August. Suck on that.
Seriously, though, ITA with CPH. You can justify any vacationing you want considering the opportunity that you'll have for this period of time. It sounds amazing. Daydream away :-)

I'm totally jealous. Seriously. I've never been to Wisconsin or Minnesota! There are so many awesome places to see in the U.S. You'll have to tell me what to check out if I make it there sometime. Can you PM me the link to your blog? I've been meaning to bookmark it, but I keep forgetting!
That all sounds amazing, Kendra! Seriously, what a great opportunity for all of you.
When my H was applying for jobs in London (doesn't look like anything will come of it, unfortunately) I kept hoping he would get it just because of all the trips we could take from there. Long weekend in Spain? Sure, why not. Head up to Ireland for a few days and hit the pubs? Let's do it. Christmas in Paris? Don't mind if I do. Oh, if only!!!
You better not slack off in your blogging, though. I want to read all about it!

All of that sounds amazing too. You guys are a worldly couple though so I know you'll see lots of places from NYC. Just the stuff you get to do there alone is ah-mazing!
I will try my best not to slack on the blogging. There might be a temporary hiatus when we move though until we get internet at our house. I'm a little worried about what websites are going to be blocked. Since the Nest loves putting half-naked people and headlines about "Sex Challenges" and whatnot on their homepage, I'm afraid that they might not make it past the censors.
