Graduation Gift ideas?

My little sister is graduating from high school this year!  Eeek!

For my cousins I've given cash.  But for her I was thinking something a little more personal and something I actually have to give some thought to.  She's still waiting to hear, but plans to go to an art school for computer animation or something along those lines.

Ideas I've had, feel free to critique or give me some more.

A new TV, small and easy to transport.

A laptop bag.  She should be getting a laptop as part of her tuition/money for school.

A nice planner.  I think this is probably the worst idea of the 3, just because I can't really see her using it.

Re: Graduation Gift ideas?

  • I like the idea of the laptop bag, a cute one. Maybe a Vera?? Do they make those? idk. I got all cash, it was cool but I wish some people would have got me real gifts so thats my vote

  • If you do laptop bag you should check out this Etsy shop. The lady is super nice and will custom do anything you want. Fossil also has some really cute bags out right now, but they're kind of pricey. How much were you wanting to spend?

Another idea would be jewelry of some sort. I love, love, love this online store.  I linked you to the page I got by searching "graduation", but they have tons of things for family and things.

Haven't really thought of a limit.  Figured if it was nice enough me and my other sister could go in together.  I figured whatever this brainstorming came up with I could share with her and see what her thoughts are.

  • i like the laptop bag idea too. you could also buy her a book bag like a cute messenger bag and fill it with pens and no. 2 pencils, highlighters, spiral notebooks, folders, maybe a ream of printer paper... and if that's not enough you can add a gift card to her school's bookstore. i bought a cordoroy jansport messenger bag that i carried for years from ebags.com. my latest school bag is so cute and i bought it from IKEA for $10!
