Hi! I just wanted to check in and see how you're feeling in the home stretch? Do you have a feeling if you're going to go early? Is the nursery pretty much ready?
Re: UrbanWife
Hi! Still feeling pretty good! Just getting a bit uncomfortable. I do have a feeling I will go early for some reason. I think it all started when they said I was measuring ahead, which now I am back to measuring right on. I have to go for non-stress tests twice a week though and they keep seeing contractions that I don't really feel so that is making me think early too!
I'm trying to bang out my to-do list because of this, ha ha! The nursery is pretty much ready. I just have to hang a few pictures and the mobile. The only reason that hasn't gotten done is because I'm still trying to decide where I want them! Other than that we have to get the car seat installed, put together the swing/pack and play and I need to pack the hospital bag.
How are you feeling? Are you ready to go? Is it slightly less stressful with #2?
I am so glad to hear you're feeling good! Sounds like everything is coming along w/ the nursery! Doesn't sound like you have too much left to do. How exciting! Yes, you could be having Braxton Hicks contractions. Perhaps we'll both be early
I have to be honest with you, this pregnancy was much more difficult for me than my 1st. Probably because I don't get time to rest. At around 28 weeks I thought I was going into early labor because I was having intense contractions, but they checked and I wasn't dilating. Then, on Friday I took a fall and landed on my belly. I was in L&D for 5 hours! Everything turned out fine there too. I've been having pretty intense Braxton Hicks contractions and the sharp pains have started. My job is very stressful right now and having a 2 year old at home gives me no time to rest. My ankles are already swelled. So, this pregnancy has been rougher. I'm not as scared about delivery as I was the 1st time around, but I am scared about going into labor on my own, since I was induced with Brendan. I worry about where I'll be, if my water will break, if we'll be able to get Brendan where he needs to be in time. Just many unknowns. Sorry, I'm rambling!
I am so glad that you're feeling great though. I know I was pretty much feeling 100% until the last week or so before Brendan was born. Try to relax the last couple weeks and catch up on sleep. Take things easy! I think i asked you this before, what hospital are you delivery at? I'm at Royal Oak Beaumont.
I can imagine it's much harder in a lot of ways when you already have a little one at home! Maybe the labor part doesn't stress you out so much but there are tons of other things that are not as easy.
So sorry that you fell. Were they just monitoring the baby in L&D? I hope everything looks ok.
I'm trying to get everything done in the next few weeks so then hopefully I'll have the last few weeks to just relax and wait for him to come! I will deliver at St. Joe in Pontiac.
Well, we'll have to see which ones of us goes first. You're having a boy, right??
They kept me on the monitor for 4 hours. They were monitoring my contractions and the baby's heartrate. I'm glad my DH was there to keep me company!
Yep Boy!
Glad everything was ok.
I pick you to go first, haha.
