Just read Omnivore's Dilemma

My eyes have been seriously opened.  I followed it up by a few more of his books, but I need to know more.  Are there any other websites or books that you can recommend?  I've already made some serious changes to the way I feed our family, but I know it's not enough.  Thanks!

Re: Just read Omnivore's Dilemma

  • It's a great book, isn't it?  My copy is dog-eared, and highlighted and underlined.  I've read it several times.  I really like Michael Pollan's writing style.  He write a food column for the New York Times, if you crave more Pollan you could try that.  I also really liked Animal, Vegetable, Miracle, and Everything I Want To Do Is Illegal.

  • Ditto Animal, Vegetale, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver. Also, The 100-Mile Diet by A. Smith and J. MacKinnon, Food Matters by Mark Bittman, and other books by Pollan, specially Botany of Desire.

There are more good ones in my library, but my books are still packed!

  • Thanks guys!  I have Food Matters checked out of the library, but I'm only a few chapters in.  I'll put the rest on my hold list and start reading!

  • I LOVED Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Kingsolver and Real Food by Nina Planck.  These books also lead me inadvertently to the benefits of coconut oil which lead me to Sally Fallon, which lead me to the Weston Price Foundation which lead me to reading more about the Paleo/Primal eating lifestyle, which I now follow...     All this started with watching Food Inc, then Michael Pollan.... funny how it all happens.
