***lauram730*** RE: Shark Steam Mop

How do you guys like it? I've been using damp cloth kinda thing that I bought at Marshalls or Home Goods a while ago, but the steam aspect intrigues me, especially if we ever have a kid. I figure that the Inn is a pretty good testing ground to see if it actually works. :-)

Re: ***lauram730*** RE: Shark Steam Mop

  • I love it - it's super light and pretty easy to refill and it heats up in about a minute.  It comes with a few different heads (one rectangle and one for corners) and a bunch of pads, which are double-sided.  The only thing to be concerned with is how well your wood floors are sealed, since the steam could cause warping - most of the ones at the inn are old and I find that it leaves streaks sometimes...but overall it works well and does a great job on tile and linoleum.  With all the mud being tracked in from the rain, we are using it pretty much daily right now and it's barely a chore.  And I get a sick satisfaction seeing all the dirt on the pad Embarrassed

I would definitely trade in the Swiffer at home for one if we had a kid.

  • butting in: thanks for the review. We're checking out electric mops right now. Sq footage of my house is too large for the swifter and with a bambino and two dogs, ugh!
