If you guys don't have one, let me recommend a Cold seat cover, LINKY
Leave it in the freezer rolled up, then when you go somewhere when it is hot out you unroll it while you are out of the car, take it off when you put baby/toddler in and voila a cool seat! No burns or waiting for the car to cool down.
