I currently have a Samsung Intercept with sprint and am considering getting a new phone. I am getting frustrated with this phone shutting off on me, freezing, etc. The sprint guys said that it might be because of an incompatibility between the apps and the OS. I am looking at the HTC Arrive ,which is win 7, and another droid phone. My only stipulation is that is has a slide out keyboard. Do you have any suggestions? Sorry this is my first post! Thanks!

Re: HTC Arrive or Droid
HTC on Sprint seems to get the Android OS to function properly. EVO-Shift if you need the keyboard and want to stay with an Android phone.
I haven't tried the win7 phone, DH's phone is a HTC with win 6.5, he likes it, but it is totally different from win 7, but it does work. DH wants to upgrade to win 7 soon.
Samsung fails with Android on Sprint, at least on the non 4G phones.
It isn't the apps vs the OS... it is a bad OS adaption combined with lacking hardware. The Moment, Intercept and the Transform to an extent have the SAME problems. Samsung seems to have issues getting it right. Google - Samsung intercept freezing it is a pretty widespread issue with the phone
We started out our current contract with 3 Moments, one EVO (regular one, not the shift), one HTC Touch Pro2 (win 6.5 phone) Less than a year later the EVO and the WinMo phone that have functioned correctly
. Moment one- Moment a replaced, Moment b replaced quote from the sprint guy after my sister took her phone in with all of her text messages in ascii "wow it looks like the Matrix, I've never seen it do that before", that one was replaced with an Intercept (the pink one) She had it for less than 24 hrs before it went back - didn't even download any apps on that one it was crap out of the box. It was replaced with the Transform - which still has issues, but it at least semi functions as a phone.
Moment two - Moment - Moment replace - Intercept (grey one on this line) - still at an Intercept - but it still has issues - it will normally at least turn on and sometimes allow you to make calls - they won't replace it with a downgraded "dumb" phone. Buying a cheap replacement for it instead.
Moment three - been replaced twice with other moments, my mum barely uses it and we've given up and just put her blackberry back on the line.
Cancer sucks.
