in Johnston, it was packed and still only took all of two minutes, they have a great system going.....just an FYI they only take cash or check.

good to know!  Thanks...I still haven't made up my mind yet.  I only went 2 times last year and only paid once.  So with the pass I would need to go at least 3 times to break even.

do you have to get out of your car and go in the building? 

I am alone with K, and I'm still on the fence of getting the pass.   When we move, the beach down the road is a town beach and I won't need the pass, but I can't see NOT going to Sand Hill at all this summer.

Yes....when you pull in the driveway, there is a parking attendant that will direct you where to park. You then have to get out of your car with your registration go in the building and pay and then someone walks you out and puts the sticker on your car and you go.....Total time out of my car was about a minute and a half and thats only because I paid by check, I had to write it out. It was that quick.

Crap.. I was going to go today, but dont think I can now.  We're turning my car back in from its lease in a month and wont be using it this summer obviously.  Do they have to put it on the car??  Think I could get away with just getting the pass itself?

Call and ask the rules about a lease, because I am pretty sure you can get another pass when you get your new car for free if you have already purchased your 2011 pass.....you just got to show proof, maybe take a copy of your old registration, I can't remember what I had heard about that.

Well this blows... I just called up and they said that if the pass goes on my car, and then in a month we get a new car we have to buy a completely new pass and can not transfer it. 

I guess I have to make DH go get it tomorrow in his car instead.
