  • "Did you leave?"

DH picks me up at work every day on his way home (woo saving gas!) and he got off IM but didn't tell me if he was actually leaving or not.

  • :)

(he left his phone at home this morning and I dropped it off with his receptionist before I went to work. he sent me a message thanking me for doing that and I sent a smiley)

  • Yay!

(This was in response to his telling me he was almost home.)

  • Ok. See you then.

(I dropped him at RISD today for a crit and wasn't sure when I was supposed to pick him up)

    "How close are ya?"

-I was making steaks and I never like to start them too early, so I wait till DH is about 5-10min away.

  • "If you see Andy, ask him if he's heard of zensah compression sleeves and if they help fight swelling.  It looks like athletes use them for training."

(I am trying to decide if $40 is too much to spend on compression sleeves to reduce my foot and ankle swelling, considering the baby is due in just a few weeks)

And since this has been brought up...here is a picture.  Note how much bigger my right is than my left (because that's the side he's laying on) and the huge indention on the left side of my left foot where I had my feet crossed just before I took this.

  • Tomorrow Morn

-In response to his question last Friday if I would prefer him staying late at work that night or going in early Saturday morning to finish (a coworker went out of town and left all his sh*t for DH to finish).

  • I thought we had more bread than we do...

I got some stuff for camping and dinner and decided on BLT's only to get home and find out we had only 4 slices of bread, so I sent him a message asking him to get more

The last one I sent was on May 5th.  I said "Missed it Sad" and was referring to the fact that the bus had just gone by without me on it.

  • DH doesn't/hates texting (plus costs extra money since he doesn't have a plan for it), so we don't text much.

The last thing I sent him was a picture for work lol.

  • This is long-

"I don't know. I took Milo out to pee and somebody was baning in what sounded like our trash cans. I ran inside and locked the glass door. I need to sleep and I can't get all riled up this late. Stupid dog should have went out before I tried to go to sleep. I'm telling myself it was Lisa and I'm going to sleep."

This was after he told me to call the cops. We have been having this crazy guy walking up and down our street a few nights before sunset. But this was at 11pm at night. I texted him and told him we have a creeper and he needed to leave work a few hours early because I was scared.

  • Megan, from the looks of those puppies I'd say $40 is a small price to pay if it will give you any comfort.

I would totally look at compression sleeves - you may be able to find some cheaper than $40. If you search the Runners World forums (runnersworld.com) you may be able to find some good recommendations. People who run tend to use them after a tough work out to reduce swelling and achy muscles.

"SO, RBC will not proceed while I have an outstanding test.  I guess I'll have to get the doctor to not send me for tests next time."

A little bit of history: I have always had lumpy boobs, which means that my doctor sends me for an ultrasound rather than a mammogram once a year just to have a look.  I had a follow-up yesterday and there was a bit of fibrous tissue, so the doctor wanted a follow-up ultrasound in 6 months.  In the meantime, this is really putting a wrench in my attempts to get life insurance because I can't get insured when I have an outstanding test to be completed.

"How much is a 1960 penny worth?"

I found a penny from 1960 in my pocket is Keith has been all into collecting change recently, so I wondered if it was worth anything, being that old.  It's apparently worth 1 cent.  lol

  • Thanks Becca!  I'll check that out.

Brooke - I was kind of thinking the same thing.  But I've been dealing with it for two months.  Surely I can make it another few weeks, right?

Jenn - they are incredibly uncomfortable!

DH complained that I bought plain greek yogurt, but I'm trying to go the healthy route and add strawberries to reduce sugar.

We just aren't that much fun.  Haha!  I would dread it because I know how ridiculous I would look with my (lack of) dancing skills.  He would dread it because he hates pretty much anything that's scheduled (which is funny considering what a planner I am!).
