F/U: Interview clothing question
I posted last week with a question about a staffing agency.
I did have the phone interview, and they loved me. I had an in-person interview yesterday, and they loved me again. They need me to interview with one more person before I could be officially hired. This guy is based on the west coast, so this may be a phone interview. But...he will be here in the next few weeks, so it could be an in-person interview.
I wore a suit and heels to the first interview, and while I didn't feel uncomfortable, I was more dressed up than anyone else there. The guy who interviewed me was wearing a blue button-down shirt with tiny white stripes, with the top button undone. The job description says "business casual." The woman who interviewed me was dressed like Phyllis from "The Office," as were several other women there.
I only own this one suit (it's black and while it's attractive, it's very plain). If I have an in-person interview, should I wear the suit again with a different shell? Or should I buy a new suit? Or should I wear something more in line with what the interviewers wore? Would it be weird to be super dressy for the first interview, and then not quite as dressy for the second one?

Dress for the job you want, not the job you have. Just because the working attire is business casual doesn't mean you should dress that way for an interview.
I'd wear the same suit with a different shell, and possibly different shoes. Trust me, no one will say, "We won't hire her because she wore the same suit."

Agree with the PPs; I was in your position just a few weeks ago, and for both interviews (at two different companies, actually) I wore the same suit for both the first and second interview with a different shirt and accessories. In both cases, the companies were business casual. Honestly, the interviews were a few weeks apart, I doubt they even remembered. People expect interviewees to wear suits.
The worst experience EVER was when I interviewed on a Friday, and everyone was in jeans and t-shirts, and I was in my suit. I was soooo uncomfortable! But I saw other interviewees in suits, too. It's what you do.
