Ugh
I just LOVE living in Florida right now. I am very grateful for the job I have and I feel so sorry for all the state workers etc. thanks to the lovely Rick Scott. DH works for the state and his job was on the chopping block earlier this week. Luckily they decided not to cut his department. However the job losses in our area are so sad.. I was just reading an article about this and it made me so angry. Especially all the teacher's jobs that are being cut.

Probably because he is helping line the pockets of all the big wig corporation owners. He wants to privatize everything so it can be more controlled and make him some cash in the process along with all the other florida politicians/private company owners.

FL State worker over here!! Anxiously awaiting my 3% paycut come July, but am trying to be happy that I'm not losing my job or health benefits, and that it wasn't the 5% that Scott wanted.
I'm trying really hard not to read that article because I don't feel like getting angry, but yeah he sucks. There's a whole outrage how he spent lie $8K (maybe more) on getting new welcome signs for the State that have his name on it, but is slashing budgets for the poor and for public employees, including teachers. I hate him.
