"Recipe" for air freshener?
Has anyone used a homemade recipe for air freshener? Either something that you spray in the air, or perhaps set in a dish in an out-of-the-way spot? I've seen a few recipes online, but I'd like to hear if any of you have tried one that works! Thanks!

Today I am pregnant & I love my baby!
I make my own reed diffuser with 1/4 c. water, a Tbsp or so (I just eyeball it) of drinking alcohol and essential oils. I really like peppermint and cocoa eo's.
I looked for "recipes" a while ago and I forgot what the alcohol does but I think it was to help the scent mix with the water or be absorbed into the reeds...or maybe both. Geez, I have a bad memory. You can also use a special carrier oil but I couldn't find any locally and didn't feel like ordering online. Jojoba, olive, etc. are apparently too thick but I didn't actually try them myself.
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
This is awesome! I'm totally making one this weekend. This would make great gifts for the holidays with the peppermint oil.
I use a reed diffuser, too.
A newsletter i rcv'd yesterday contains this recipe for room spray: Fill spray bottle to a few inches from the top with water, add several drops of EO and mix before spraying. Test before spraying on fabric/upholstery.
Citrus, lavendar and tea tree are listed as antimicrobial. Lavendar also repels some insects and TT is suggested for mold and mildew.
