What is there to eat at the Farmers Market?

We are able to go about once a month every summer and usually hit up the Farm Boys for breakfast burritos, but I'm getting tired of them. I was looking at this year's guide and it seems like there are several similar breakfast options now. What do you recommend?

Also, is the Austrian pastry stand still there and if so, where? It was always located near the west end of Court and had a canopy that said "Cafe Salzburg" on it. I couldn't find it on the list, but I'm also not sure exactly what name they are registered under, so I could have easily missed it. I love their hazelnut pastries and will be disappointed if I can't get them anymore.

  • I always love getting the little veggie potato patties from the small Indian stand.

  • I like the breakfast burritos served at the Royal Mile better than the Farm Boys ones.  But I also got a little burnt out so I actually get some food from El Salvador called a papusa it's a meat and cheese filled pancake thing topped with a spicy salad.  They used to be infront of Legends, but I think with the construction they were down third.

The other thing we like to get are perogies which is across from the Papusa stand.  Now I"m wishing we had gone to the market this morning!

We didn't get there until 11ish and it was raining off and on, so I just went ahead and got a breakfast burrito anyway, though now they offer them in a bowl. Much neater to eat!

Found my pastries, got the name wrong, it's "Strudl Haus". Yum :)  Of course I asked for a hazelnut one and when I went to eat it later, discovered they'd given me poppy seed. Fortunately, I liked it, but still really want my hazelnut!!

  • I usually always get a Fiesta bowl from the Dos Rios tent. It has in it: pulled pork, homemade chips, 2 kinds of beans, pico, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, & cilantro on it. It is big - you definitely get your money's worth for $5!

  • I love the papusas! I get one every single time.

Great Harvest Bread Company also has the best cinnamon rolls. You'll have to try one next time.
