Re: sweet and heartbreaking...

  • I heard this on the news last night, it is so sad! I think they said there are only 4 or so left for adoption. That makes for a happier ending.

  • That story really made me tear up.  Having one pet of my own that is treated like a human baby, I can't imagine what it took for her to do that with her babies.

  • i know...and she had to split all her babies up too...can you imaging dropping them off and driving away??

i really think she did a good thing though, and from the story, it sounds like they were all cared for...

    just so sad....

  • That's so sad, it brought a tear to my eye.  I posted it over on the pets board.
  • I saw it last night on the news, they said all but four had found homes, maybe by now they all have. So very sad, you know that lady is heartbroken to lose her babies knowing she's dying too...sad, but she did the right thing. They said all their medical records were with each cat and they all had been well cared for.
  • aww..how sad. At least they are all finding homes.

  • Hopefully she's been watching the news to see that almost all of them have been adopted already.  I hope that helps her to feel better about the decision she HAD to make.

  • ugh, that made me tear up too. That poor woman- imagine how heartbreaking it was for her to have to write all of their information on each box knowing it would be the last time she'd ever see them.... Gosh, that is just so sad.  :(

I'm so so glad they are finding good homes.  I hope they go to someone that will love and care for them.

  • I have to wonder too, if the lady has any family at all to be with here though this...it sounds like those kitties were her only family.
  • Awe, I think the lady who dropped off the cats did the right thing. If she would have kept the cats and passed away then the cats would have probably went to the pound. It does break my heart to know that she gave up her babies. I'm sure she had a hard time letting go. I really do hope that she goes in peace.
  • This was in our paper a few days ago...such a bittersweet story....
  • That is so freaking sad! More than I can handle before 7 am... god.

That poor lady! I can't imagine what it was like for her dropping them off and driving away... devastating!
