Need help: Question re: Reference

I'm putting together my reference list.  One of them will be a former manager of mine who quit the company back in December.  I still work for this company. She wants to be a reference for me.  But how should I describe her title?  "Ex-Manager, Company Name", "Former Manager, Company Name", or something else?

TIA!

Re: Need help: Question re: Reference

  • I'd probably say former manager, company name, contact number (for her)

  • I am in the same situation and plan to put "Former or Previous supervisor"

I would give the actual title given to her by the company, followed by a description of your relationship if you feel it's necessary.  Honestly though, that's going to be the first question I ask them while checking references, so it's not entirely necessary.
