I asked DH what he thought about beef burgers for T's 3rd bday, he said he didnt think it was a good idea because we had it at his 1st bday. I thought it would be cheap, easy and good. Anyone have any ideas. DH thought about lunch meat sandwiches, but I would not want to leave the meat out in the heat all day. At least the beef burgers would be in a crockpot.
Re: bday menu
What about bbq pulled pork sandwiches? Easy, cheap, and you can leave them it in a crockpot. Just put out pickles, onions, and coleslaw so people can dress as they like

If you want to do beef burgers again do it. His 1st birthday was 2 years ago so I doubt anyone would care if you had it then. We did beef burgers for A&A's first birthday and we did them again for their 2nd bday. No complaints here. Everybody loves them. If you want to mix it up, offer different sides.
E wants spaghetti for her 4th birthday. I'm thinking that may be a bit messy and hard for an outdoor party so we may go with a taco bar which is another favorite of E.
