Well, the end is finally here
At around 8:30 this morning my grandmother passed on to what I hope is a better place. She was a trooper even until the end, that woman. A tough cookie. This has been a very difficult couple of weeks for my family, but it's awesome that we all got to see her before she passed and have been there for each other. Arrangements are being made now for her to get an autopsy at Columbia Univ, since she is part of a medical study regarding her illness. Plans are for a funeral sometime in the fall at the military cemetery where my grandfather is also buried.
Thanks for all your support, girls. As I said, this has been a super tough couple of weeks and you all have been a great support.
Re: Well, the end is finally here
I am very sorry for your loss. I know that she has been gone for a while, but the actual physical loss is still very painful. She was a great woman that lived a life that few of us could every even dream of, let alone coming close to the greatness that she achieved.
