We are looking for a glider & ottoman for the nursery-preferably one that also reclines. However, the prices out there are pretty expensive. Does anyone know of any kids consignment shops that may sell them?-if that's something they even do. I've looked on ebay and craigslist- however most people haven't even gotten back to me. Any other suggestions on where to look? TIA!

Re: Where to find a glider?
I eventually gave in and bought a new one because I had no luck finding one used in the right wood finish to match the rest of the furniture we bought.
There was a glider at April Showers consignment in West Warwick, and Little Pumpkins in Coventry sells furniture, but I didn't actually get to shop there because when I went, they were on vacation. Luca consignment in Bristol sells furniture, too, but they are only upscale stuff so a used glider there was $300ish. I'd also try looking at the floor models at Babies R Us. There have been a few on clearance since I was looking for one, and they keep dropping the prices on them.
Good luck!
we got a rocker-recliner from Bouvier in Woonsocket. They're going "into retirement" so you *may* be able to get a deal, but I've heard mixed reviews about the retirement prices.
I found a Dutailier glider that was practically brand new and worth $500ish on Craig's List for $120. I had to drive to Waltham to get it, but it was worth it! I searched CL for a while to find it since I knew I wanted a specific color.
There were never a lot of local RI results, but if you broaden the search to Mass as well, you might have better luck!
