Cloth napkins

Does anyone have a retail suggestion for a place to buy some cloth napkins, for a cheap price? Dont need anything fancy, just cheap and absorbent. I havent had any luck at the resale shops, so I guess Ill have to buy new.

Do you have a Christmas Tree Shop near you?  You may be able to find some cheap there.  TJ Maxx and/or Marshalls might be a good bet too.

  • I found a 12-pack of 100% cotton ones at Bed Bath & Beyond around Christmas time for about $4. I bought two.
  • I got ours dinner napkins for $3/piece (i think, it was a few years back) at World Market/Cost Plus.  For just us/every day use we also have some tea towels we use, from ikea.  When we got them they were 100% cotton, but i think they are a blend now (so not as adsorbent).  (The rest of our every day ones are extras my parents passed along, but that doesn't do you any good.)

  • I bought mine on ebay.  I think I paid $5 for like 20 of them.  All white so I can get them cleaner.  Go to Goodwill or yard sales.  It's recycling in the best sense.
  • If you haven't had any luck at Goodwill or yard sales, BB&B has cheap cloth napkins.

  • My MIL is a genius!  She took old cotton t-shirts and just used the pinking shears to cut squares for napkins.  Now she has a ton wioth none of the ssewing fuss and no problem with fray.
