Re: PG/Mom Check-In
Thanks for adding me!! If you don't mind changing it though, I spell it Jamie
I'm doing pretty well. 1st doctor's appointment is next Tuesday so I'm super excited about that! I feel ok, except for some occasional queasiness, some cramping, and always being tired.
Oh, and I got a job last week! It's only part time for now, but he wants to transition me to full time (and more money) after I work there for a couple months and he hopefully wins a few big trials he has coming up. Hopefully he'll still feel that way once he knows I'm pregnant, but at least it's money coming in now!
Zoe is doing great! She "talks" like crazy and smiles all the time. I can't believe how much I love her! Coming home and seeing her after being at work all night is the best feeling ever.
I am teaching H how to read her sleepy cues so he can start taking the initiative to put her down for her naps. She sleeps about 30 minutes every 1.5-2 hours. Power naps, lol! He asked me how I knew she was tired, lol! Men! :P The yawning and rubbing her eyes are pretty good indicators. He is really good with her though and I love watching her face light up with huge smiles for him.
I can't believe how my brain is unable to function these days. Sometimes I can't even carry a conversation. I wish I could blame it on lack of sleep, but Zoe sleeps through the night so no problems there! I hope this will get better soon!
Sara, the worrying will never stop even once you get the "everything is okay".
Last night about 1 am I checked in to ER with severe chest pain. After all the testing and what not, I have sludge in my gallbladder so I now what to watch my diet more to be sure I'm not eating fatty foods that could trigger it to spasm again. The OR Dr consulted with the OB on call and they decided due to all the risks of doing surgery at this point we would hold off. They still are strongly advising me to have my gallbladder removed once LO is born.
After determining what was causing the pain I was sent to L&D for Fetal heart monitoring. I was up there much longer than expected b/c LO wasn't moving enough to meet their criteria for discharge. After changing positions and having some juice and graham crackers he started having a dance party which helped to quickly meet the criteria. I was discharged about 5:30 this morning and feel much better.
Now lets hope I can make it through today at work.

Kennedy is doing pretty good. We have to go to the cardiologist today because she's been breathing a little heavier off and on. Her surgery will be the week of June 27th. I'm terrified, but at the same time it'll be such a relief to have it done, and not have "as much" to worry about.
Aside from her heart she's doing great. She's really close to rolling from her back to her belly. She hates being on her belly, so I think that's the main reason she hasn't done it yet. She's always full of smiles and giggles...I just love it. She weighed 10lbs 9oz a week ago, so I'm excited to see what we're up to today!
