How are your gardens doing? This is my second year planting, so I learned a few lessons from last year. My grocery bill for June should be lower than usual since I won't have to buy as many vegetables!
My first batch of green beans will be ready to pick in a few days (or now), while the rest of the beans need another week or so. I keep seeing more snow pea pods forming, so the first batch of those should be ready in a week or two. I have a few radishes ready too, but most of my first planting didn't sprout, so I had to replant.
I'm up to my ears in lettuce. I planted it last fall, and it came back with a vengeance after the winter and it starting to seed. I always wondered where lettuce seeds came from...now I know the answer!
I have small broccoli and bell pepper plants, but I planted those from seeds and had to do a second planting to make up for the seeds that didn't sprout. I don't think they'll have time to mature enough to produce before it gets too hot out and they go semi-dormant.

Re: gardeners
WTG on the garden! I imagine it must be very fulfilling to actually grow your own food. We've talked about starting one in the past, but haven't been able to make the commitment.
The closest thing I have to a garden is my flower bed. Just dug and planted it this year, and it's not much, but I'm pretty thrilled that it's still alive.
