To Do List Before Baby Arrives!
This afternoon I wrote out this huge list of cleaning and organizing TO-DO'S before baby arrives. It felt good to get it on paper, now let's hope we can get it all done!!

Re: To Do List Before Baby Arrives!
I wrote one out too but I'm sure I missed something! I'm due 11/24 so I have plenty of time but I'm sure it will fly by.
I tried to divide it into categories: cleaning, organizing, decorating
So far I've cleared out the room, purchased a rocker (Craigslist score!), and a bought one gender neutral decoration (white piggy bank) but that's about it
Here are the basics:
Set up baby room- may be simple and straightforward or super complex depending on your situation. For us it was just getting new sheets and wall letter to match DD#1's since they are sharing.
Wash some of the small sized stuff. (I say some because A- you may not need as much as you think and B- they grow really fast at first)
Purchase bouncer, swing, high chair (though this can wait) carseat. Other stuff from there may include, playmat, stroller, carrier, bassinet, pack n play
Have some diapers and wipes on hand. I would buy a small package of a few major brands to try out. Your baby may not like certain brands.
Buy a few cloth diapers to use as burb rags. Recieving blankets work really well too. Also, buy a few small toys like rattles and stuff (mostly for fun at first but good for tummy time too)
Get some kind of stages book- like What to Expect the First Year. It's a great help to ease your mind of whats coming (possibly).
Check into Short Term disability if you have it at work and see what needs to be done for it. Also, figure out what to do for insurance for the baby. Usually babies are covered for 30 days under mom.
Check into life insurance, college savings and other financial stuff as needed.
That's the basic's other than that it depends on you and your family.
We're going to get our carpets professionally cleaned before the baby arrives!
