good tuesday morning, everyone. hope you all enjoyed your long weekends and had a nice time! any exciting stories? big news? drama?
we had a nice weekend in CT with a great combination of relaxing, sun (could have used even more), drinks, junk food (probably too much of that...), wedding planning, and fun.
back to reality now. need to keep running and need to detox my body from doughnuts, beer, etc.
loving this weather
Re: Top o' the mornin' to ya
Pretty basic weekend here, I worked Friday, Sunday and Monday. Saturday we ran errands and grilled out. My brother and his fiance are visiting until Thursday so we all went to see Hangover 2. Add in a few runs, a graduation party, and umpteen loads of laundry and you have my weekend.
Today DH and I are both off so I am hoping to be able to enjoy the nice day since we have had huge thunderstorms since Sunday night. Love the rain and my garden looks great, but I don't want to do my 4 miles today in 80% humidity. I am not used to it yet! (whine over).
Hope everyone enjoyed your weekends.
i'm with you. i am a fair weather runner, so i will be running in the gym today. 80 and sunny with humidity? no thanks.

Totally wishing the gym was an option today. It may be time to invest in a treadmill.
Friday night, DH and I installed our window AC units. It made the weekend so much better.
The bridal shower on Saturday turned out surprisingly well. The bride was surprised and totally loved it. The cookies were a huge hit. Driving home in a torrential downpour was NOT fun though.
Sunday we slept in super late. Then went to the mall and various other stores. I returned a bunch of stuff. And then bought others.
Yesterday, we stayed inside the whole day. We watched Red and Sherlock Holmes and were just lazy.
Thank god it's a short week.
I am HATING this weather. Summer can kiss my arse.
This weekend was pretty good - the wedding on Sunday was nice, and I'm glad I got to spend some time with my friends. I feel bad, though, because I was hypercritical of a lot of things since I went through the planning process so recently. When we got home, we found out that good friends of ours just got engaged (finally! he's had the ring since last August!) so that was really exciting news.
We're in the middle of a heat wave and I am in a foul mood because of it. Luckily this is sort of a short week because I have a local conference to go to on Thursday and Friday - not a vacation, but a break from routine and I won't be at work.
I'm glad this is only a 4 day week but next week will be even better I have a 3 day week (thank you Moses for finding the 10 commendments) Even though I didn't do much this weekend I didn't find it very restful.
Friday we went to the restaurant where we work to watch the Bruins/lightning game. I have NEVER been in a bar that was sooo quiet at the end of the game. I mean you could have heard crickets. Which is wierd because we have been there at other Boston winning games againest Tampa and people cheered.
I don't feel like doing any work and I really have stuff I should be doing but I just don't want to. So I'm sure I will be nesting a lot today.
Weather was gorgeous here on saturday and then sunday it was rainy/stormy. Then yesterday it was hot and humid, about 90 degrees. J wouldn't let me turn the air on!!! I wanted to leave him for anyone that had air conditioning on! (ok, not really).
Woke up this morning and we both slept like crap b/c it was so hot, so now the air WILL be on today.
Was home sick friday. felt ok on saturday. Then sunday was back to feeling like crap. Early pregnancy stuff maybe?? stomach issues and super nauseous and overall feeling worse than the worst hangover I've ever had. awesome.
I seriously do not understand this. I would have put the damn air on. Like you, I can't sleep when it's hot, but I also have a hard time just existing in general in the heat/humidity. Today is supposed to get up to 96, with a heat index from 105-110.
wait, did i miss something (or already forget, as i have the memory of a 90 year old) that you took a pregnancy test? are you confirmed KU yet???
Blog
you make me laugh! Yes, I posted it in the "I think someone needs to take over Weight Loss Weds. check in" post. I think you even commented! :-) Silly girl.
But yes, for sure KU. And thanks to a ton of bloat I look like I'm freakin 5 months pregnant already! Making it very hard to not tell people in real life.
Hola!!! Had a fairly good weekend. Showed hubs's hometown how to drink Captain.
It is finally nice here! We had an entirely rainy wet mucky May and June is looking promising! But that just means all of our weekends are full.
Thata girl!!!
that's what i thought, but i also thought you said you were late and hadn't tested yet maybe? i dont know, im an idiot. anyway, YAY.

Morning all. I'm so tired this morning.
Saturday we went shopping. Went to Banana Republic outlet and got three clearance tops for $17. Score! I also bought a mini muffin pan at Calphalon for $9.99.
We went camping Sunday. It was fun but I got no sleep because the floor was hard and we didn't bring enough blankets. It was also so flipping cold. Note to self: buy air mattress for next camping trip. Overall we had a good time.
We also started moving some of our stuff yesterday and me being "Sheman" I think I can lift all the big stuff too. This is the reason I am sore today.
I hope this weekend goes by fast, already looking forward to Friday.
Very excellent weekend! I finally had quiet time around my house on Friday (H at work and roomate out of town) so I relaxed had some wine and watch movies! Saturday H worked during the day and I did loads of laundry. When he got home we went to dinner and then a friends house to see another friend visiting from Mississippi. So fun we were there until 2:30 in the morning.
Then Sunday H had to go help his boss at work because none of their guys can have overtime but since H and his boss are salary they went and worked at the shop from like 11-7. I had to take my shih tzu to the groomers so while I was waiting for him to get done me and my mom had lunch and then shopped and she got H a late b-day present, it was a fishing pole he has been wanting for a long time and I wouldn't buy it for his present because it was 100 $ and I bought our boat trip already so mom bought it for him. He was like a little boy when he got home sending pictures of it to all his friends on his phone. Too Funny! Then me and H laid around the house because he was exausted. Monday H and I went to have fish for lunch and then went and saw hangover 2 with H cousin. Very fun, me and his cousin have alot in common like music, TV and movie wise. I made dinner and that was our night.
I had a lovely weekend. I cleaned my house from top to bottom, did a lot of work on my flower beds, ran errands, watched 80s movies and TV shows, read, hung with friends and family two of the nights and saw The Hangover 2.
I also saw a lady in stillettos fall in Lowe's, that was awesome. That's what you get for trying to lift heavy bags of stone into your cart in those idiot four inchers, lady. This is Lowe's, not the runway.
This is a three day week for me! Girls weekend in OCNJ next weekend. I can't wait.
Congrats moleson!
We had SD this weekend, but not for the holiday, so of course the weather was crappy again the whole time we had her. We even dropped her off early because of the tornado warning. It's really frustrating because we bought her a little pool and a big sprinkler ball thing for her birthday, and every time she's been here since we gave them to her it's been raining or cold. So while it was nice yesterday DH and I set up her pool and played and splashed in it like idiots. At least we got to cool off a little!
Friday after work we picked up SD and went to BIL's house for a sleepover. DH and BIL volunteered to put the girls to bed so that SIL and I could go see Pirates of the Caribbean. The movie was great! But the sleepover did not go well, and SD did not sleep well at all, so we cut our visit short. We were going to go see Kung Fu Panda 2 with BIL, SIL, and their 2 girls, but SD was too sleepy so we came home and she took 2 naps!
We went to church on Sunday, then went to lunch with my dad. Took SD home early because of the impending storm (it ended up splitting around us, but we had no way of knowing that, and we didn't want to be on the road with her if a tornado hit). Then we waited out the (ridiculously disappointing) storm at my brother's and came home.
Yesterday my BFF came over for dinner and DH made chicken and dumplings (my fave!!) because I gave him a massage earlier in the day. That's our trade, and I think it's fair.
) BFF and I caught up on our shows, watching last week's Army Wives and Glee. BTW How disappointing was that? I mean, this is a scripted show, they've gotta win sometime. It's getting ridiculous.
Got another BFN this morning, so now I'm just waiting for AF to come around again so that I can start charting. I don't care what DH says, I need to know what's going on with my body.

Had a very nice weekend, and am finally getting over bloat and more consistently looking pregnant, which is nice.
Ex-bf's wedding was Saturday (he also came to ours; we dated for 6 years but were always more friends than passionate about our relationship). It was nuts! They'd planned to have it outside, but it rained, so the whole wedding moved tables into the barn and then set the tables. H and I kept joking that we didn't know what to expect from this wedding, because everything was wrong - email invites, RSVP 3 months before the wedding, etc.
Anyway, funny thing happened with his mother, whom I always assumed didn't like me. She's a typical Chinese mother, who wasn't happy with her son dating a white girl. So, actually, I wasn't imagining it earlier, but at the wedding she gave me a huge hug and said "we love you!" which was very nice. I hope it's not at the new wife's expense, though. She is so absolutely perfect for ex-bf personality wise, but has a child out of wedlock (not with ex-bf) and is pretty marginally employed from what I hear from him. But she's super super nice, and they like all the same (outdoorsy) things.
Other than that, stayed with my BFF and her family to go to this wedding and we had a great time hanging out. Came home late Sunday afternoon and went baby shopping yesterday. H and I are not seeing eye to eye on what stroller I want, with him wanting just a lightweight one. Sure, we'll ALSO get a lightweight one at some point, but I want a full-size stroller for most things, and a lightweight one for others.
You'll definitely want both. DH and I went mini-golfing with my brother and SIL last week, and we had to keep my niece in the stroller. They only have a full-size one, and it was almost impossible to move that stroller around the course. For that possibility alone, it's worth having a lightweight one too.

AWESOME. It's the little things in life.
Hahaha! I don't understand why women wear heels to go to the store. Then to top it off they can't even walk in them.
Dup. Stupid Nest.
I was just thinking about asking you how TTC is going. Then I read your last sentence. That sucks! I also have been having no luck, 10 months and nothing....I'm hoping for good news this coming month.
Lol, thank you! Several days ago he said to get whatever I want, and yesterday was bitching because it's large and our cars (mostly mine) are smallish. I was like dude, I'm getting a new car eventually! I'll just get one big enough for the stroller.
I partly created the problem, because I was hoping to get that ONE magic stroller that does it all, but after reading my Baby Bargains book, they clearly say there is no such thing, and my exact plan is what most people do.
Dats, I think that's a really good idea. I feel like I learned so much not only in charting the one month I did it (ha! I'm an expert
), but in doing OPKs and all of that. I used Fertility Friend.com, and it was super easy and informative. I read their tutorial, which they email you bit by bit so it's not overwhelming.
