Opinions?
DH and I are moving to a new apartment and I'm not sure which one we should get. We've always had Comcast and for the most part haven't had issues, but from what I can tell FIOS is a little cheaper and they don't charge for installation.
I don't really know anyone who has FIOS so I have no idea about the service.
Re: Comcast v. Verizon FIOS
We recently switched from Comcast to FiOS - mostly because I loathe Comcast and couldn't stand giving them any more of my money. We've had FiOS for a few months now and my biggest complaint is that we can't get the stupid DVR box to work. It constantly turns itself off and resets itself, then takes 1-2 minutes to turn back on every time. They've sent us a new box and new cables and it still does it. It's so irritating when it's right at the suspenseful part of a show and then...the TV turns off.
We've had to call customer service a few times now because of the issue with the box turning off, and I'll say that so far Verizon's customer service has been worlds better than Comcast.
I don't see much of a difference in quality of service. IMO, the internet isn't any faster than ours was with Comcast, and I can't tell a difference in TV service. I do like that it's cheaper than Comcast, though, and that they're not getting any more of my money! :-)
