I don't want to be a newbie anymore :- (
So I have been with you girls since before we all got married, but not much of an active poster...yet! Sometimes I feel like if I post, you girls might be like "who the heck is this girl??"
So for those who don't know....I'm Jessica 
So ask away so I'm not such a newbie anymore after more than a year with your wonderful girls!

I've always tended to be more of a spectator around new people. That and I just recentely have been able to access the site from work. By time I got home I felt like the conversations on here had already passed and no one would notice if I had added to a post.
So other than now have more access to the site...you girls seems to have so much fun and an awesome bond and who the heck wouldn't want to be a part of that?!?!

What is your favorite summer fruit?
(I'm on a kick trying to find new flavors of sorbet to make)
I would have to say watermelon. Though last year I figured out that I really like peaches....not sure that it is necessarily just a summer fruit though.
How do you make sorbet??
Well in NJ by me peaches are a summer thing.
I actually made peach sorbet this weekend.
I normally take 2lbs of frozen or fresh fruit (depending on the fruit and the season) and puree them with some simple syrup (sugar and water) and the juice of one lemon. Each recipe is different and I make them in my ice cream maker which is my favorite summer toy. I've done peach, mango, raspberry, raspberry lemonade, and chocolate sorbets so far. I also make ice cream.
Jessica, darling, I know EXACTLY who you are because you sent me that awesome little baking snowman ornament for our christmas exchange in 2009. I love that ornament

You were the only person I thought would know who I was. I am so glad you liked the ornament!!
My hometown is Alexandria, KY. It's about 20 minutes south of the Cincinnati, OH (people do that "oh ok, I know where you mean" when I mention Cincy since it's more known the any other area around here)
I don't live in my hometown, but live 5 minutes away from it in the next county over...which also happens to be DH's hometown. Not sure I will ever get him to move out of this town.
No definite vacation plans yet. We have an annual lake trip to Dalehollow Lake (on the KY/TN border) that we take every year with my family. We both have a week off in Sept together that I am hoping we can plan either a trip to an all-inclusive or on a cruise. I'm open to any suggestions! Looking for beaches with clear water that won't cost a fortune.
The only thing that is holding me back from making any definite plans (well other han not knowing where we want to go yet) is that I am hoping to get a new job in the VERY near future. And I would pass on the vacation for a chance to get a job at the one of the few places that I am applying to.

Right now my current favorite hobby is sewing. I love it! I also love to read and to scrapbook. I wish I scrapbooked more than I do.
It's there now. Sometimes it takes a few minutes to reset.

Right now, no. If I were to get on with the state, possibly. But in all honesty, I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.
Well first off, HI!
Second, I think your job is awesome. My MIL is a probation officer for the state and she LOVES it. Its so funny to think of her being a hardass with people because she is typically somewhat of a pushover.

Do you like any sports? Favorite teams?
Everyone please keep your fingers crossed for me to be able to get on with the state!! I would definitely enjoy my job more working there.
I'm not a HUGE sports fans, but I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to go to a Cincinnati Reds baseball game. That is probably the only sport that really interests me.
