I hate fax machines. I think they are antiquated technology. I'll just email you the information in a clear and crisp fashion.

Seriously. I just had this discussion. I was trying to sort out a billing error and the company would only take the claim via a faxed form. Yet, 5 minutes later they called me to confirm the numbers because "sometimes the faxes don't come through clearly."

Thank you! I thought that's what scanners were invented for? Scan the document and email it, that way it will come through much clearer and you'll be able to save the document to boot! 

The fact that I don't own a fax machine and therefore have to pay $1 for every page I need to send to someone also makes me hate them even more. Grrrr.

Ditto what's been said.  It always amazes me that legal contracts often require notice by fax or FedEx.  If I want to deliver something quickly, I have to fax and email it--fax because it's required and email to make sure it gets there in a clear fashion.  What a waste.

I think you should take the machine out back and go a little Office Space on it. I have dreams about this with our fax machine. It likes to eat documents and ruin them while not sending.
