I have a Droid and LOVE it! Two thumbs way up

 I had a Blackberry Storm before the Droid and seriously hated it - nothing but issues with it. In all fairness though, I also heard that it was the just the Storm model that was awful, not Blackberry in general.

I have the Droid 2 and I love it.  DH had the original Droid right when they came out, so I was already used to how they worked but it's so fantastic!

Woot for the droid girls! My droid pro and I have been engaged in a steamy love affair since January. I was a BB girl for years before that, and could never go back now that I know what awesomeness is available with 3G internet. Oh, I should mention that I would never buy an iPod because I need the real keyboard, and this model is not a flip-out keyboard, which to me is what high schoolers get.

ETA- Oops, meant iPHONE. I love my iPod.

Droid X here.  I love it, but I've had some issues with it.  My husband and a good friend both had ones that crashed and they lost everything on them.  I am going in and making sure that all my stuff is being backed up on the SD card so that if the phone dies my info doesn't die with it.

I'm an iPhone girl.  I had a Chocolate for something ridiculous like 5 years but when DH and I went to a family plan, it cost the same to have a smart phone so I took his hand me down iPhone and he got the new one.  I would never have gotten one otherwise but I'm definitely a fan now.

I have an iPhone and I lovelovelove it!  I had a love affair for years with BB Curves, then I switched and I'm never looking back!  It still amazes me what this thing can do!

I have the Droid X and I love it. It took me awile to get use to it, but now I love it and DH tries to steal my phone because he wants one and cant upgrade until November.

I have an HTC Incredible and DH has the Droid X.  I didn't personally care for how wide the Droid X was to hold onto (and it didn't fit into the nice cell phone slot on my purse!  lol) so I got the Incredible instead which is similar in length but narrower width wise.  Both DH and I are happy with our phones although I will say that mine is sorta yo-yoish on the service bars which sucks sometimes.  DH is just a smidge jealous right now though because I can stream netflix on my phone and his isn't supported yet.    Its all good though, I'm jealous of the GPS/charging cradle that DH could get for his.  We both gave away our GPS units because google navigation came pre-installed on our phones and doesn't require paying for map upgrades and will show you where there are traffic slowdowns without having to subscribe to anything or pay more money.

Definitely not.  I had a non-smart phone and never upgraded because we're eventually going to change carriers.  My non-smart phone crashed, and because we're still going to switch, I didn't want to pay more than $20 for my temp phone.  It's stooooopid: Nokia 1661.

We have a droid Samsung Continuum...I love it! We just upgraded to smartphones about 2 months ago and now I see what the hype is about!

I have an HTC Thunderbolt.  I really like it.  I just switched from an iPhone about two months ago so I'm still getting used to the Android OS but so far so good!

NotFroofy and I recently upgraded to Droid X phones, and we love them!  They can be used as a GPS (better than the single-purpose GPS we previously had), radio, organizer, etc.--as well as, of course, a phone.

DH and I are Apple people (even before it got "cool", lol) so I'm an iPhone girl. I still have the ancient 3G though (not even the the 3GS)...we are holding out for the iPhone 5 that is supposedly coming out in the fall. Except that DH took his phone for a swim in the pool last weekend and he may need to upgrade sooner.

 Did you try to talk to Apple about it?  My friend has taken her iPhone swimming several times, and she's been able to talk Apple into replacing it for free for her.  Worth a shot!

I have the Palm Pre and like it for the most part, but will probably change over to some sort of Android phone when I'm due for my upgrade in December.  My tow major pet peeves are battery life and the OS lags.  Other than that I love the Web OS interface that Palm/HP has.  But since HP bought out Palm, the updates, apps, and such are really slow to roll out.  I want to have access to all of the Android apps, plus DH has an Android phone that I've been able to try out and I like it okay.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I went with the HTC Desire Z. I really wanted to use the android OS and it has a touch screen and a pull out keyboard because I am touchscreen typing impaired. So far I love it but it's only been 2 days haha.

BIL had a spare 3GS laying around, so DH is borrowing it until he can get his other phone working (it turned on after spending a night in a bag of rice to dry out) or the 5 comes out .
