I've researched and it seems the droids have more free apps and a better camera but I was sold on the iphone... now I can't decide... any tips/thoughts?
Re: verizon droid or iphone?
I just got rid of my htc droid incredible in favor of an iphone 4. The selection of apps is about the same and the iphone's camera is definitely comparable. I just decided that I didn't want to keep carrying around an ipod and a cell phone. Not that you can't load songs onto an SD card with a droid, I just like the software and interface of the ipod.
It just boils down to personal preference with the OS.
We have had iPhones for years and both have the iPhone 4 now and love it. SO just got a droid (Droid X2) because of work and he's been comparing it side-by-side to the iPhone for a week now. The droid has a lot more you can customize and a few small things he likes better, but he says the iPhone 4 is by far the better phone. It's faster, more user-friendly, easier to navigate, camera is comparable, the FB app is better (horrible on the droid OS)... I would go iPhone!!
It's rumored that the iPhone 5 will be released this summer, with an 8 megapixel camera.
I used to work at the apple store and when I worked there it was hard to be around the iPhones and not buy one. I'm now on my third iPhone (reasonable upgrades over the last several years) and I love it. It's so awesome to have an iPod with you at all times, be able to make calls on it (obviously), surf the internet, and all the various apps. For me, the biggest thing is how well it integrates with my macs. I have mac computers at home and the calendar syncing is incredible. I was horribly unorganized before I got my iPhone but being able to add something into my calendar on my iPhone and having it sync wirelessly to ALL of my computers (desktop, laptop and work computer) and being able to access that calendar and make changes online through mobileme on a PC as well is hugely important to me.
I love it and I honestly don't think I could ever have a phone by another brand. That integration is key for me and I can't imagine what I would do without it.
