Anniversary Recs?

DH and I are celebrating our first anniversary this Sunday. We've been so busy moving into the house & unpacking, so we want to make sure we take some time off and have fun. We were planning to do a dinner cruise this Sunday (we have a Groupon) but I kept forgetting to make reservations. Now they're booked. No biggie, we'll use it another time.

Now we're trying to find something to do last minute. We're thinking about looking for something to do in Annapolis. I don't think we want to stay overnight. The budget is a little tight since we're spending so much money on the house. We're considering doing something that we can bring the puppy along for (but we're definitely not set on it). I'm doing some research but I could use all the help I can get. We only have a few days to figure things out. I'm such a slacker :-/ TIA!

Re: Anniversary Recs?

  • You could just take your dog to downtown Annapolis with you, walk around the docks, get ice cream or a crepe and eat dinner somewhere with outside seating. Sly Fox Pub has a big outdoor seating area and their food is pretty good. Paws Pet Boutique is a nice place to take your dog shopping as well.
  • There's a thread a few posts down about restaurant recs in Annapolis.

However, I don't think any mentioned are dog-friendly. I just took my dog downtown Annapolis on Saturday and enjoyed lunch at Sly Fox Pub. It's just off Church Circle and has a nice outdoor ambiance.

We also walked around downtown and then sat and had a beer at McGarvey's. Basically anywhere with outdoor seating will allow the pooch to be tied up with you (and will bring the dog water!) ... McGarvey's, Federal House, Maria's, Castlebay, Nano Asian Dining are just a few that I noticed had outdoor seating and dogs with their owners.
  • No suggestions, just wanted to say happy anniversary! Ours is next weekend...hard to believe it's been a year already huh?!
